DNI Run As One Success
The Dublin Neurological Institute (DNI) held its first ever in person charity run. Those who have been supporting us for a number of years will remember that the DNI held its first ever virtual running charity event during Covid when all of our in person events came to a holt. People from all over the world ran and sent over their running times and distances. It was a great success and proved to be a crucial part of our fundraising efforts during the years of Covid.
The name of the event ‘Run As One’ came from the idea that we are all running for one cause, neurology. In particular during Covid when we could not be together we could all still ‘Run As One’ and unite virtually for a cause that so many people are impacted by.
We decided to bring back our ‘Run As One’ event but in person for the first time. The event was held on Sunday the 9th of March.
The DNI Run As One event was a great success. We had almost 50 people & 4 dogs in attendance on the day with over 90 registered for the actual event. The sun decided to make an appearance and the glorious weather really added to the day. The 5k run/walk was measured by doing 5 laps of the Mater Hospital and although this was a last minute change to the route it actually worked out very well.
We are looking forward to making the DNI Run As One event bigger and better for 2026.
