Covid-19 has had an impact on everybody in some way or other and The Dublin Neurological Institute (DNI) is no different. We rely solely on donations and charitable grants and our patients need your support. Although based in Dublin we support patients from all over Ireland.
Professor Tim Lynch led the way in the DNI 2021 Front Line run – ‘Run as One’ – undertaking a 5K run on both Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th February 2021.
Luke O’Neill is professor of biochemistry in the School of Biochemistry and Immunology at Trinity College Dublin. Prof. O’Neill has been making the news in recent times in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic but this week he’s making the news about the DNI 2021 Front Line Run and why ‘Run as One’ is such an important event and is so worthwhile of your support. Sean J. Pittock, M.D., is the director of Mayo Clinic’s Center for Multiple Sclerosis and Autoimmune Neurology and of Mayo’s Neuroimmunology Research Laboratory. In this video he braves the Minnesota refreshing winter weather to offer his personal support and encouragement for our 2021 Front Line Run.
The 2021 Neuroinflammatory meeting directed by Dr. Róisín Lonergan, will take place on Friday, 26th February 2021.

On the 16th February 2021, Gaelic football family Noel McCaffrey (left) -in the image below- his son Jack (right) and daughter Sarah (who have all played in All-Ireland Finals) took the time out with Prof Tim Lynch to launch the 2021 Dublin Neurological Institute Frontline Run – ‘Let’s Run as One‘, over 5km on February 27th and 28th in support of the Mater Neurological Appeal. The launch took place at St Anne’s Park, Clontarf East, Raheny in Dublin. Some of the local wildlife joined in and ‘took to wing’ to mark their approval for the cause.
A stellar cast of Irish Sports Commentators have come forward to support our 2021 Front Line Staff 5k run/walk on behalf of the Dublin Neurological Institute.
