The Centre for Brain Health, DNI at the Mater University Hospital is an independent company and charity (CHY 19722). There is no charge to patients who receive treatment here – therefore we depend solely on various fundraising events, philanthropy, legacies and grants.

We strive to increase access and improve care to patients with neurological problems including Stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, head trauma including concussion, brain tumours, motor neurone disease, spinal injury, head aches (including migraine).

Neurological disease affects almost 800,000 people in Ireland and occurs more frequently as we age. However a prompt diagnosis can make an enormous difference. This can be a problem in Ireland due to limited investment in neurological services. The funds we raise are vital to ensure we can provide a service to those who suffer with conditions affecting the brain and the spine.

We focus on education, training and research through the extensive clisaadfsafnical work we carry out that covers many neurological conditions including for example, movement disorders, Parkinson’s, Dementia, MS, Stroke, Headache & Epilepsy. We treat almost 5,000 patients annually with our small, but dedicated team
